Redwood Deck and Handrail
This project features a redwood deck that spans this home’s yard, providing 400 square feet of outdoor living space for its residents. It is a prime example of what we call a price point deck, which means that we optimized the dimensions of the structure to reduce waste, labor, and ultimately, cost. The handrail is in our standard “snow rail” style; the “snow rail” includes a gap at the bottom of the handrail to allow for easy shoveling of snow.
This job took about three and a half days to complete with a crew of two workers. The homeowners plan on having Blue Pine Construction install an outdoor prepping area and cooking station next season.
